Melissa Dubbin & Aaron S. Davidson sought to create a physical representation of immaterial things.

Their project « volumes for sound » includes physical and ephemeral elements: sound, performance , sculpture and photography.

The created volumes are objects that evoke the sound silently.

But, all equipped with loudspeaker, they can be played and used as an amplification system.
